Job summary

Coupang is seeking a Staff AI Security Governance Engineer to define and architect enterprise AI risk frameworks and policy-as-code specifications. You will partner with AI/ML engineers, security architects, Legal, and Privacy teams to set standards and guardrails.

You will collaborate with Control Assurance to ensure execution and continuous monitoring, bridging technical security with regulatory needs across AI pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in Information Security, GRC, Security Architecture, or AI/Cloud Governance.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML security risks, cloud security, and privacy principles.
• Ability to translate policy requirements into technical specs for engineers/QA.
• Experience architecting governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, NIST CSF, PIPA).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Coupang's AI Security & Risk Management Framework.
• Define policy-as-code rule sets and security baseline specs.
• Set technical guardrails for AI development and deployments.
• Collaborate with AI platform teams, infra engineers, and Legal/Privacy.
• Own enterprise AI policy lifecycle and cross-border data requirements.
