Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled applications, large language model integrations, and agentic workflows. You will partner with engineering, product, platform, and data teams to embed security across the design, development, and operation of traditional and AI-driven solutions.

As a senior technical contributor, you will define secure design patterns, conduct threat modeling, guide engineering teams on secure development

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing or securing enterprise apps and platforms.
• 5+ years in application security: threat modeling, secure design, code review, vulnerability mgmt.
• 5+ years programming in Python/Java/JS/C#/Go.
• 3+ years securing AI/ML or generative AI.
• 3+ years with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI security standards, guardrails, and secure-by-design principles.
• Define secure patterns for AI agents, prompt management, tool integrations, memory handling, and autonomous workflows.
• Review architectures using large language models, retrieval augmented generation pipelines, AI agents, and AI-powered workflows.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for AI-enabled systems and data flows.
• Mentor teams on secure coding and AI security best practices.
