Job summary

DraftKings is seeking a Staff Security Engineer in the US to lead security for our AI platform. You will define guardrails, reference architectures, and policy-as-code to enable multiple teams to build agents and workflows securely.

Responsibilities include security reviews of AI gateways, scaling processes, reducing noise via telemetry and standardized prompts, and mentoring engineers while partnering with privacy, legal, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• 5+ years advising on security design.
• Broad security fluency across infrastructure, identity, network, SaaS tools, and cloud security.
• Hands-on ability to debug security issues.
• Experience writing high quality code in typed and untyped languages.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the security standards and guardrails for the AI platform.
• Review and build the architecture of AI gateways and tooling security.
• Scale security review processes to speed production without lowering bar.
• Reduce AI-driven security noise with telemetry and standardized prompts.
• Lead remediation of complex cross-functional security issues.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team’s security capability.
