Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Staff Security Software Engineer to own a major AI agent production-grade workstream and platform capabilities with reliability, observability, and safety as core requirements.

You will design and ship AI agents, set standards, collaborate with security partners, drive scale in AI threat detection and red-teaming tooling, and mentor engineers within the Agentic Security Engineering team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software or security engineering with technical leadership
• Expert-level Python for production systems at scale
• Hands-on with modern agentic frameworks and LLM tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, ship, and operate production AI agents that security teams depend on.
• Harden shared platform for safe, scalable agent deployment with observability and least-privilege identity.
• Lead design reviews and establish reliability, latency, and cost optimization in AI security tooling.
• Define AI security assessment methodologies and incident response workflows.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and enable partner teams across security org.
