Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Staff Security Software Engineer to architect and lead the shared Security AI platform. You will define multi-year direction, establish standards for identity, sandboxing, policy enforcement, and auditability, and align security partners to ensure safe, scalable AI personas.

You will influence platform adoption, drive high-impact architectural decisions, and mentor teams to raise the bar for reliability, security, and operational excellence across the security AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, security platform architecture, or systems security.
• Fluency in Python and cloud-native systems architecture for secure, low-latency infrastructure.
• Experience aligning multiple orgs on complex architectural strategies.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML security, agentic systems, and data protection.
• Ability to design platform guardrails for sensitive workflows and untrusted inputs.
• Strong communication of trade-offs to engineers, leaders, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for the shared Security AI platform and govern its roadmaps.
