Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Staff Enterprise Security Engineer to lead the security posture for our AI initiatives within a remote-first environment. You will steer technical strategy and build the foundational guardrails enabling AI at scale across the enterprise.

You will architect secure AI platforms, drive AI vetting, and guide identity and data protection in cross-functional teams. Strong coding and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering or infrastructure security.
• 2+ years in technical leadership at an enterprise.
• Expertise in cloud security (AWS, GCP) and container security (Kubernetes).
• Proven track record of designing and deploying security systems at scale.
• Strong programming in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience building automation for complex security workflows, including AI-driven tools.
• Excellent communication to explain AI security risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure reference architectures for Enterprise AI platforms.
• Establish AI vetting framework and institutionalize it across the organization.
• Collaborate with partners to roadmap agentic AI identity and posture management.
• Maintain and improve security posture via code and infrastructure as code.
• Mentor junior engineers and advise leadership on AI security trends.
