Job summary

Arketa is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build AI-powered products for wellness studios. You will help modernize architecture, create agentic loops, and ship features quickly with a small distributed team.

This is a permanent IC role with no management track, remote based in the U.S., and strong emphasis on AI tooling and customer impact. You’ll work across the stack (TypeScript, Node, NestJS, React, Postgres), mentor engineers, and help raise the bar on reliability and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent evidence)
• Full-stack contributor with capability across the stack
• Fluent in JavaScript and TypeScript
• AI-native mindset: uses AI tooling and builds automation
• Can influence engineering direction beyond own team
• Experience leading migrations and designing reliable systems
• Strong product judgment and pragmatic problem solving
• Comfort with high autonomy and low process

Responsibilities

• Build AI products that help studio operators automate operations
• Build agentic loops to improve product and codebase
• Leverage AI models as they improve to maximize impact
• Simplify infrastructure to accelerate engineering delivery
• Improve production observability, alerting, and incident response
• Work across TypeScript, Node, NestJS, React, Postgres to ship features
• Mentor mid and junior engineers and establish team patterns
• Be accountable for team delivery and outcomes
