Job summary

Burq is hiring a Staff AI/ML Engineer to build the AI at the core of Burq – the core, not cosmetic. We are pushing to be at the forefront of AI in logistics: creating intelligent agents and models that power real-time decisions across the product.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role spanning two layers: agentic orchestration and intelligent forecasting and optimization. You will take ideas from prototype to production, set the bar for reliable AI in an operational domain, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Shipped production AI/ML at scale with real-world trade-offs.
• Deep depth in at least one area and fluency across AI and ML domains.
• Design and trust evaluation offline and online tied to business outcomes.
• Hands-on with Python and modern API/services.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship production AI systems – multi-agent orchestration and specialized agents.
• Automate operational workflows across onboarding, support, exceptions, and data understanding.
• Build models behind decisions – forecasting, optimization, matching and reliability scoring.
• Design the learning loop and instrument decisions for continuous improvement.
