Google LLC seeks a senior ML/AI engineer to lead design and optimization of distributed ML systems and autonomous agent frameworks. You will shape agent state machines, tool usage, and scalable deployments for enterprise use.

The role spans research-to-production with rapid prototyping and collaboration across teams. Responsibilities include building robust agent architectures, evaluating LLMs and multimodal models, and contributing to publication-ready work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ML system design and optimizing ML infrastructure.
• Experience designing, pre-training, fine-tuning or evaluating LLMs and multimodal models.
• Experience developing autonomous agents and multi-agent workflows.

Responsabilités

• Lead 2–4 week Strike Sprints to prototype agent state machines and tool-use orchestration.
• Partner with product and engineering teams via Forward Deployed Engineering to scale prototypes.
• Build horizontal agents (e.g., AutoResearch) to accelerate velocity and automate value.
• Develop agent architectures and self-improving foundation models for autonomous systems.
