Job summary

The ideal candidate designs and deploys AI components, including foundation model training, inference, similarity search, and guardrails, using a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS tools. You will influence the AI systems roadmap and governance at Capital One.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years AI/ML experience or Master's plus 6+ years.
• 8+ years programming in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
• Experience deploying scalable AI on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI components including LLMs and governance.
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI tech such as Huggingface, VectorDBs, PyTorch.
• Develop state-of-the-art optimization to improve latency, throughput and cost.
• Contribute to the long-term AI systems roadmap at Capital One.
