Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Staff AI Engineer (Remote Eligible) to build and deploy responsible AI systems at scale. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products, leverage open-source and SaaS tools, and drive a long-term AI foundation strategy across platforms.

You will mentor engineers, stay updated on AI research, and optimize training and inference for cost, latency and throughput while maintaining governance and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 6–8+ years in AI/ML development.
• 8+ years of Python/Java/Scala/Go experience across apps.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems on cloud platforms.
• Ability to lead and mentor multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities
