People in AI is seeking a Staff Applied AI Engineer to join a venture-backed, rapidly scaling AI technology company building advanced conversational AI products for enterprise customers. The role focuses on producing production-grade LLM systems, memory and context management, and high-performance AI orchestration.

You will own major technical initiatives, design scalable architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the product's AI roadmap while enjoying strong

Formación

• Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production.
• Strong Python engineering skills for scalable backend or ML systems.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval, and context management.
• Experience developing evaluation frameworks to improve AI quality and reliability.
• Ability to own complex technical projects from experimentation to production.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and scale production conversational AI systems using LLMs.
• Develop context engineering, retrieval, and long-term memory for multi-turn interactions.
• Build evaluation frameworks, automated testing, and feedback loops.
• Experiment with frontier models, agentic architectures, and new AI techniques.
• Develop model orchestration strategies optimizing latency, cost, performance, and scale.
• Take ownership of major technical initiatives and influence architecture and engineering direction.
