Job summary

ClickUp is seeking a Staff AI Engineer - Multi-Agent Frameworks to lead backend development of a platform that lets users design and deploy intelligent agents. You will integrate multiple LLMs, orchestrate workflows, and advance multi-agent coordination across complex scenarios.

You will collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams, implementing privacy-conscious data handling and leveraging search capabilities to enhance agent access to information.

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) and understanding their strengths/limitations.
• Expertise with orchestration frameworks for agent workflows (e.g., LangGraph).
• Strong background in evaluating AI systems in complex tests and environments.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals with focus on backend engineering.
• Passion for applying latest AI advances to agent tech and real-world problems.
• Experience with AI privacy scenarios including data anonymization and compliant handling.
• Experience with search technologies and integrating them into AI systems.
• Experience building or deploying Multi-Agent Frameworks/Systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a platform to create and manage AI agents and their interactions.
• Integrate multiple LLMs and ensure orchestration and scalability for agent operations.
• Leverage LangGraph and similar frameworks to build complex workflows for coordination.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for testing AI agents in challenging scenarios.
• Stay at the forefront of AI advances and apply them to enhance agent capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers for a seamless UX.
• Address AI privacy scenarios and ensure data protection compliance.
• Contribute to improving search capabilities and integrating them into the platform.
