Job summary

Nova Biomedical Corporation seeks a Staff AI Engineer to lead hands-on AI development and set architectural direction within our Data & AI function. You will design, build, and operationalize AI-enabled applications and reusable patterns to scale enterprise AI capabilities.

You will partner with data, security, IT, and business teams to ensure secure, observable, and well-documented AI solutions, while mentoring engineers and implementation partners and maintaining hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on AI/ML or enterprise software experience.
• Proficient in Python, APIs, cloud services, CI/CD, and VCS.
• Deep knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, and AI platforms.
• Ability to design secure, scalable AI solutions and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, deployment, and support of AI agents and RAG apps.
• Define reusable AI engineering patterns across prompt design and retrieval.
• Develop AI platform components like agent orchestration and model gateways.
• Design platform controls for security, telemetry, and cost management.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, data, IT, and QA teams.
• Translate business needs into practical AI applications with enterprise impact.
• Mentor engineers and delivery partners while staying hands-on.
• Ensure production-grade documentation and handoffs.
