Job summary

NTT DATA AIVista in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Member of Technical Staff - AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production AI capabilities at scale. You will work on agentic infrastructure, model customization, and agentic workflows for large enterprises, writing production-quality software and taking ownership from implementation through deployment and ongoing improvement.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of software engineering experience with AI-powered products and a strong CS

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Master's or PhD degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including hands-on experience building or contributing to AI-powered products or production AI systems.
• Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering, with hands-on experience developing production-quality software.
• Hands-on experience with at least one or more modern AI technologies or architectures, such as: Agentic systems and agent orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model customization, tuning, or optimization, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI infrastructure and inference systems, Data processing and knowledge pipelines, Agent protocols or multi-agent architectures.
• Experience translating AI techniques or models into practical software capabilities.
• Ability to make sound implementation decisions and understand tradeoffs involving performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn quickly as AI technologies and development practices evolve.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
