Job summary

Raydar is seeking a Staff AI Engineer in San Francisco to design and ship software systems layered on top of large language models. You will own major parts of the product, focusing on evaluating AI agents, agentic concepts, and production stability. Requires hands-on AI/ML work, Python proficiency, and strong ownership.

The role is on-site, full-time, based in San Francisco, CA, with equity and competitive compensation. A strong CS background and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Staff-level experience in an early-stage SaaS startup environment.
• Hands-on experience working with AI agents.
• Experience experimenting with agentic techniques such as multi-agent systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience building in ML and AI, with prompting language models.

Responsibilities

• Create end-to-end evaluation frameworks that track AI agent quality.
• Prototype agentic approaches, including multi-agent designs and feedback learning.
• Develop supporting services and coordination components for stability in production.
• Follow recent research on language models and agents and turn ideas into experiments.
• Own major parts of the product and help shape how the team builds agent systems.
