Raydar, a fast-growing software company in San Francisco, seeks an Applied AI Engineer to own AI-driven content generation systems in production. You will design agents that convert briefs into interactive assets, build orchestration and reliability tooling, and connect generation to ranking systems for personalized outputs.

The role emphasizes backend engineering depth, cloud familiarity, and delivering in a fast-moving early-stage environment.

Qualifications

4+ years of engineering experience in AI systems in production.
Production deployment of AI language models or autonomous agents.
Backend depth across infrastructure, data and serving.
Familiarity with a major cloud platform and common data stores.
Ability to ship in a fast-moving early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

Build agents that convert a written brief into a working interactive web-based asset.
Set up automated quality checks that catch faulty builds before a person has to.
Develop pipelines that combine several media types to create short video content in varied formats and styles.
Connect content generation to a recommendation and ranking system so output is tailored to each user.
Analyze performance signals and feed them back to improve future output.
Build orchestration, evaluation and reliability tooling for production.
