What you will do to contribute to the company's success

Responsibilities include overseeing and managing the accounts payable process. Your role is essential in ensuring that all vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Set forth below is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities (or "essential functions") of this position:

  1. Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of assigned areas, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting.
  2. Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related adjusting entries in support of assigned areas.
  3. Reconciles balance sheet accounts; investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.
  4. Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
  5. Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

  • Knowledge and understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver quality results on time.
