Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Miami, FL (Doral area). The role focuses on vendor reconciliations, general ledger analysis, and accurate recording of debits and credits.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors, maintain audit-ready records, and support month-end close using Excel. This contract position requires discretion and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Vendor reconciliations and general ledger accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of debits and credits in general ledger.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and vendor transactions.
• Apply debits and credits to ensure accurate financial entries.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to gather documentation and resolve issues.
• Maintain records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Utilize Excel to manage reconciliation templates and data analysis.
• Support month-end close activities as needed.
