Job summary

HomeTown Services is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage corporate accounting, intercompany billing, and treasury-related activities. The role includes GL maintenance, cash processing, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in transactional accounting, with Treasury system experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. This position supports process improvements and audit readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of transactional accounting experience including AP posting and journal entries.
• 2+ years with Treasury management systems.
• Experience with firm month-end close deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting for Corporate Accounting and Treasury.
• Post daily cash transactions for corporate bank accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Post ZBA entries and balance ZBA clearing account daily.
• Prepare daily cash summary and updated forecast for CFO and FPA.
• Process intercompany and corporate AP bills and payments.
• Prepare monthly intercompany billing statements to 26 sites.
• Support treasury administrative tasks and system enhancements.
• Assist audits with required documentation and explanations.
