Job summary

AAFCPAs is seeking a Staff Accountant on our Tax Team in a remote/hybrid capacity. You’ll collaborate with teammates to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses while building your tax knowledge through mentorship and hands-on experience.

You’ll develop technical skills using Excel, CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and other tax software, ensuring accurate work and timely delivery in a supportive, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting required; Master’s degree a bonus.
• Strong communication skills (writing and speaking).
• Tech-savvy with Excel and Word.
• Curious, motivated learner ready to contribute.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with teammates to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Analyze financial information and tax documents to identify issues and research tax questions.
• Build tax knowledge through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship.
• Develop technical skills using Excel, CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement and other tax software.
• Prepare accurate, high-quality work while meeting deadlines and standards.
