Job summary

Ryan & Wetmore, PC is seeking Full-Time Staff Accountants for our offices in Bethesda MD, Vienna VA, and Frederick MD. You will work across tax, attest, and accounting engagements with clients from entrepreneurs to growing businesses, gaining experience in tax strategy, audit & assurance, and client accounting services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
• 0-3 years of experience related to tax & accounting
• CPA certified or eligibility to work toward CPA license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures across cash, receivables, inventories, and other accounts in client financial statements and propose adjusting entries
• Review transactions for GAAP compliance and prepare footnotes and internal-control observations
• Research fundamental issues using online tools
• Advise clients on corporate and federal tax issues including planning, compliance, and transaction structuring
• Communicate with client personnel about tax accounting matters and processes
• Meet client service expectations by adhering to time budgets and maintaining high-level client service
• Support engagements as needed and learn firm policies and professional standards
• Represent the firm professionally to clients
