Job summary

AZZ Inc. seeks a Staff Accountant at its Fort Worth, Texas corporate office. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this role handles day-to-day corporate accounting tasks, collaborates with business units to identify and resolve issues, and supports month-end close and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Experience with SOX controls and internal auditing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist month-end close for GL, A/R, A/P, and purchasing modules.
• Post journal entries and prepare reconciliations (prepaids, insurance, bank).
• Respond to questions from business units and complete special projects.
• Support general ledger, A/R, A/P and payroll as needed.
• Ensure SOX compliance and regulatory requirements where applicable.
