Job summary

AZZ Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office. The role reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager and involves day-to-day accounting tasks across the corporate department, coordinating with business units to identify, document, and resolve issues.

Key duties include assisting with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting A/R, A/P and payroll. The position requires strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX, plus excellent communication

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

Assist with month-end close of the general ledger, A/R, A/P, and related modules.
Post journal entries and prepare reconciliations (prepaids, insurance, bank).n
Respond to questions from business units and complete special assignments.
Support general ledger, A/R, A/P and payroll as needed.
Ensure SOX compliance and SEC regulations where applicable.
