Job summary

KNIPEX Tools LP is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team in Buffalo Grove, IL. The role focuses on Accounts Payable and Credit functions while serving as the SAP accounting SME, maintaining pricing and costing data in the system.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of accounting experience, with hands-on SAP experience and strong GAAP knowledge. Industrial manufacturing or distribution experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of accounting experience (or equivalent).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting fundamentals.
• Hands-on SAP or comparable ERP system experience required.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or distribution is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter Accounts Payable invoices.
• Process various vendor invoices and payments.
• Perform GL reconciliations and related reports.
• Assist with annual audit preparations.
• Post payments, journal entries and bi-weekly SAP check runs.
• Assist with GST and tax payments where applicable.
