Nift Networks is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance team. You will own day-to-day accounting operations, manage AP/AR, and support month-end close and audits. This role reports to the Senior Accountant and focuses on delivering accurate financial data to enable growth.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of general accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and a proactive ownership mindset. Flexible remote work options are available as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of general accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience with journal entries and month-end close processes.
• Experience in a private-company environment or transition from public to private accounting for at least 1 year.
• Ownership mindset: proactive, self-driven with initiative.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Own day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR processing.
• Review and approve AP/AR entries for accuracy prior to management review.
• Prepare and post month-end close journal entries, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; support variance analyses.
• Support the monthly close process ensuring timely approvals and clean data.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
• Collaborate with Senior Accountant to follow workflows and improve processes.
• Support transitioning core accounting functions in-house for scalable operations.
