Ronoc Advisory is seeking a Staff Accountant for a family-owned real estate business in the Quad Cities. The role is full-time, onsite, and supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes across the entity structure.

You will prepare financial reporting packages for ownership and management, reconcile accounts, and maintain the general ledger. Responsibilities include intercompany activity, audits, and documentation of procedures to improve controls as the companies grow.

Formación

• Strong general accounting skills including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, or combined reporting.
• Real estate, property management, leasing, or development experience preferred.
• Ability to read rent rolls and development budgets and explain variances.
• Detail-oriented with strong internal controls and close-calendar discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the general ledger across multiple EINs, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance-sheet accounts, rent rolls, security deposits, and other operating accounts; clear reconciling items on schedule.
• Prepare monthly financial packages, including entity-level statements and consolidated or combined reporting.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close; tie-out leasing activity and development costs.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, tenant and vendor billing, and cash application as needed.
• Prepare audit, tax, lender, and insurance schedules; respond to inquiries from external accountants.
• Maintain fixed-asset and loan/note schedules; track development project costs.
• Document procedures and suggest controls improvements to tighten close.
