About the Role:

The Staff Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and monthly close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Prepare financial statements and internal reports
Help manage accounts payable and receivable functions
Maintain accurate records and support audit and tax preparation efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Contribute to process improvements and internal controls

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of accounting experience; industry experience in real estate or property management is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software systems is preferred
Experience with Yardi or MRI beneficial
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
