Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services is seeking a Staff Accountant in Wilmington, Ohio to support Heavy Maintenance billing and revenue activities. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the billing cycle, month-end close, revenue recognition, and serving as a liaison between Accounting and Heavy Maintenance Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an associate in a related field with 3–4 years of experience.
• Three or more years of relevant accounting experience (preferred).
• Experience in airline or MRO industry (preferred).
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Compile project data for weekly status reporting and invoicing.
• Oversee the complete billing cycle, from invoice preparation through final payment.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue recognition.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customer representatives and internal accounting personnel.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting team and Heavy Maintenance Project Managers.
• Analyze and report on project financial and performance metrics.
• Conduct special studies and assist in developing or refining accounting methods and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting-related matters with other departments and partner accounting teams.
• Provide technical guidance to the A/R Analyst as needed.
