Job summary

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services is seeking a Staff Accountant to support Heavy Maintenance billing and revenue reporting. You will manage project-based financial activity, ensuring accurate reporting and cross-departmental communication.

The role requires strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. You will oversee the full billing cycle, assist with month-end close, and act as a liaison between Accounting and Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an associate degree in a related field with 3–4 years of applicable experience.
• Demonstrated strong analytical ability and high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile project data for weekly status reporting and invoicing.
• Oversee the complete billing cycle from invoice preparation through final payment.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue recognition.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customer representatives and internal accounting personnel.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting team and Heavy Maintenance Project Managers.
• Analyze and report on project financial and performance metrics.
• Conduct special studies and assist in refining accounting methods and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting-related matters with other departments and partner accounting teams.
• Provide technical guidance to the A/R Analyst as needed.
