Job summary

Muse Search + Inspire in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the project accounting team. You’ll process project costs, support month-end close, and help ensure accurate financial records for a utility-scale solar project.

The role offers high visibility in a smaller team with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule and room to grow. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in accounting, a degree in Accounting or Finance, proficiency with AP/GL/reconciliations, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years accounting experience including internships.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, and Excel.
• Interest in project accounting and understanding how numbers connect to the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

• Support project-related accounting activities, including invoice coding, tracking costs, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Process accounts payable and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support project costs, financial reporting, audits, and other accounting initiatives.
• Collaborate with the team to keep financial information accurate and moving forward.
