Job summary

CCS Financial Services (CFS) is seeking a Staff Accountant in Boston, MA to join a mission-driven nonprofit accounting team. You will manage biweekly payroll, assist with month-end close, and handle grant accounting, invoices, and GL entries. This role offers strong benefits and work-life balance with no weekends.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, and solid Excel skills. Experience with Sage or Paylocity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting experience or strong full-cycle/audit internship experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable supporting biweekly payroll; Sage or Paylocity experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly payroll processing and related journal entries.
• Support month-end close and bank/revenue reconciliations.
• Prepare contract invoices and recurring general ledger entries.
• Record contributions, grants, and other receipts.
• Assist with audit preparation and general Finance team reporting.
