Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree in accounting preferred; two years of accounting/HR/business admin experience recommended.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to adapt to new technologies relevant to the position.
• Ability to interact professionally with top level administrators, elected officials, and other stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Process bi-weekly payroll, including overtime, rate changes, cafeteria/benefit changes, and garnishments.
• Process special payrolls such as retention, uniform and gun allowances, and poll workers.
• Distribute checks and ensure compliance with GASB and IRS regulations.
• Set up and reconcile payroll accounts with Director and Assistant Director.
• File monthly and quarterly state and federal tax reports, and 941 filings.
• Handle accounts payable billings and maintain related records for accuracy and funds availability.
• Assist with compiling and reconciling financial documents for year-end closing and policy updates.
• Process a variety of financial forms and payments, including adjustments and requests.
