Job summary

George Moving and Storage Inc is seeking a Staff Accountant or Assistant Controller to ensure accounting practices comply with legal guidelines and established policies. You will collaborate with the finance team to create internal controls and policies, and identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records.

Responsibilities include preparation of customer billings, bank reconciliations, payroll and commissions, and daily deposits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance.
• At least two years of related experience; moving industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Review Accounts Receivable Aging Reports to ensure timely collections.
• Assist with monthly reconciliation and journal entries.
• Prepare payroll, commissions and related payroll journal entries.
• Interface with employees, government entities, and private companies to resolve issues.
• Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations; perform analysis for special projects.
• Meet deadlines and assist management as required.
