Job summary

LHH in Orlando is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role offers broad general ledger exposure and close collaboration with accounting leadership and field operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and can balance recurring month-end close with day-to-day operational accounting in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; or Associate degree with relevant experience required.
• 1–2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Hospitality or multi-location operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger review.
• Prepare sales tax filings for assigned operating locations.
• Maintain fixed assets and perform asset accounting.
• Audit cash-related activity and prepare necessary reclassifications.
• Reconcile credit card receivables and maintain documentation.
• Partner with field leadership to research and resolve accounting questions.
• Assist leadership with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed.

This position offers broad general ledger exposure and works closely with both accounting leadership and field operations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and enjoys balancing recurring close responsibilities with day‑to‑day operational accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger review
• Prepare sales tax filings for assigned operating locations
• Maintain fixed assets
• Audit cash‑related activity and prepare necessary accounting reclassifications
• Reconcile credit card receivables
• Maintain organized accounting records, schedules, reports, and supporting documentation
• Partner with field leadership to research and resolve accounting questions
• Assist accounting leadership with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; or Associate degree and relevant experience required
• 1-2 years of professional accounting experience
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month‑end close
• Hospitality or other multi‑location operating experience is preferred
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

Salary Range

• $65-70K

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
