Job summary

Nedap, a global technology company, seeks a Staff Accountant for North America to join our Burlington, MA team on a hybrid basis. You will own day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and GL support.

You will also prepare payroll entries and assist with payroll compliance in coordination with HR and Finance. Join Nedap to contribute to scalable financial processes and cross-functional collaboration, helping the NA organization grow

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience across AP, AR, bank reconciliations and month-end close support.
  • Payroll experience including preparing and reconciling payroll entries; BambooHR familiarity.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting terms and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and improve processes as the organization grows.
  • Strong verbal/written communication across Finance, HR, and Operations.
  • Experience owning accounting in a small or high-growth company is preferred.
  • Openness to using AI tools to support reporting and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable processing and payment activities, including AR collections follow-up.
  • Perform corporate bank reconciliations and monitor transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll entries with HR; support 401(k) remittance and reporting.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and GL analyses.
  • Assist with tax/compliance filings and related reconciliations.
  • Onboard new customers/vendors and maintain current accounts.
  • Support ERP initiatives and Finance Manager on ad hoc projects.

In North America, Nedap has been operating for nearly 15 years and continues to scale rapidly across three key markets. As the organization accelerates its growth in North America, we are hiring a detail-oriented, hands-on Staff Accountant to partner with the Finance Manager and help build a scalable finance function.

As a Staff Accountant, you will own day to day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger support. You will also prepare and reconcile payroll entries and support compliance filings, while identifying ways to streamline processes in a growing organization.

Your responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable processing and payment activities, and manage accounts receivable activities including collections follow-up.
  • Complete corporate bank reconciliations and monitor business banking transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile bi-monthly payroll entries in partnership with HR, and support 401(k) remittance and related reporting from the finance side.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting, prepare journal entries, and maintain assigned general ledger accounts, including analyses and corrections as needed.
  • Support sales and use tax processes and related reconciliations. Ensure sales and use tax filings are completed accurately and on time, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and compliance reports.
  • Assist with new customer and vendor onboarding and modification of existing accounts, ensuring accounts stay current and reconciled month to month.
  • Support ongoing process improvement and ERP-related initiatives, and support the Finance Manager on ad hoc projects as assigned.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, HR, and Operations.
  • Experience owning the accounting function in a small or high-growth company is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required, including openness to using AI tools to support reporting and workflows.

  • This is a hybrid role based in Burlington, MA, requiring two days per week onsite.
