Job summary

MikroPul, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a motivated Finance professional to assist the Business and Plant Controller with monthly closings and internal reporting. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys data analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and improvement of internal controls.

The candidate will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, relevant industry experience, and strong Excel capabilities. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered, including health care insurance and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in the industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience from a large firm.
• Percentage-of-completion accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• General closing responsibilities including monthly reconciliations.
• Preparation of standard reports, including forecasts and variance analysis.
• Support accounting and finance management team with ad hoc assignments.

Job Summary

This position will support the Business and Plant Controller and be involved with the monthly close process including balance sheet account reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for account analysis and the preparation of internal reports including KPIs. Additionally, ad hoc projects will be assigned that provide exposure to all aspects of the Finance department.

This position has a broad role that can be impacted by the person’s preferences and proven abilities. A successful candidate will be a high-energy person with a desire to learn and grow. The person must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with the organization.

Responsibilities

• General closing responsibilities with validation of balance sheet accounts, including monthly reconciliations
• Preparation of standard reports (weekly/monthly) including forecasts and variance analysis for company packages
• Document and account for project estimates in coordination with operations
• Recording of journal entries
• Maintain fixed assets and record depreciation
• Support accounting and finance management team with ad hoc assignments
• Provide year end audit support
• Assist with inventory physical observations
• Assist with documenting and improving internal control processes
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting as a minimum, but a Master’s Degree in Accounting a plus
• Minimum 3 year experience in industry, preferably a manufacturing environment or
• 3-5 years of Public accounting experience from large firm
• Knowledge of Accounting systems and principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with an integrated ERP required
• Percentage-of-completion accounting experience preferred
• CPA a positive
