Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting team in Foxborough, MA. You will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate records, and work closely with the Accounting Manager and senior staff to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of the P&L and balance sheet.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other GL accounts monthly.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as they come up.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Book transactions and reconciliations across currencies (USD, CAD, EUR, GBP).
• Support AP and AR functions, including collections activity.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation.
• Maintain accounting records in compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Identify and contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Support ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned.
