Job summary

Paslay Group is seeking a Staff Accountant who will own the general ledger discipline, ensure accurate journal entries, and support close processes. You will reconcile accounts, investigate variances, and maintain schedules behind financial statements and audit documentation.

You will also apply customer payments, monitor aging, process adjustments, and generate aging and cash-receipt activity for budgeting discussions. The role requires GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Two or more years of accounting experience covering general ledger, reconciliations, and AR.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and monthly close cycle.
• Intermediate Excel skills and comfort with large datasets.
• Experience with accounting/ERP platforms and standard financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; assist month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts; investigate variances and maintain supporting schedules.
• Apply customer payments, monitor aging, and process adjustments and write-offs.
• Produce aging summaries, cash receipts activity, and management reports for budgeting and forecasting.
