Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. in Mayodan, NC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support manufacturing financial operations. You will manage accounts payable, payroll administration, and financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Collaborating with operations, HR, and finance leadership, you will help close books, support audits, and drive efficiency through ERP improvements and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Base-level accounting or finance experience, manufacturing background preferred.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or a comparable ERP is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
• Administer payroll for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accurate compensation.
• Reconcile payroll, benefits, and related general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles and reporting.
• Support external audits by maintaining required financial documents.
• Assist with Oracle system implementation and efficiency improvements.
