Job summary

Ruger in Mayodan, NC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial operations in our manufacturing facility. You will oversee accounts payable, payroll administration, and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite. You will collaborate with operations, HR, and finance leadership, and participate in audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Base-level accounting or finance experience, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or a comparable ERP system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accounts payable, including invoice entering and review, coding, approval tracking, and vendor payments
• Communicate proactively with vendor contacts to ensure current status of Ruger payable accounts and strong vendor relationships
• Administer weekly or semi-monthly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accurate and timely compensation
• Reconcile payroll, benefits, and related general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results
• Support external audits by maintaining and producing financial documents as needed to ensure a successful audit result
• Support ad hoc financial analyses to identify cost efficiency opportunities and support operations with relevant and timely reporting
• Assist with ongoing Oracle system implementation to ensure continuity of accounting processes and implement efficiency improvements
