Ritchie Engineering Co., Inc. in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Staff Accountant to strengthen our financial reporting team. The role focuses on general ledger activities, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and internal controls, reporting to the Controller and supporting month-end closes and audits.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, at least 2 years’ ERP experience, solid U.S. GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a corporate ERP environment.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and English reading/writing.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Record financial transactions in the general ledger per U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate items.
• Maintain capital expenditure schedules and fixed assets, including depreciation.
• Assist in ERP data integrity and external audit support.
• Prepare documentation and maintain accounting records.
