Job summary

Trinity Property Consultants in Irvine, CA is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage financial and operational accounting for a portfolio of apartment communities. You will prepare financial statements and analyze accounts under the Controller, supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end closes.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 1–2 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for a large multi-family portfolio.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Record revenues and expenses accurately.
• Assist with year-end audits.
• Assist with additional projects as needed.

Compensation

$70,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience.

Note

This full-time, on-site role is based in Irvine, California. Candidates must reside within commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the financial and operational accounting for multiple apartment home communities, including financial statement preparation and account analysis. The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for a large multi-family portfolio
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and resolving all discrepancies
• Ensuring all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses
• Assisting with year-end audits
• Assisting with additional projects as needed

Experience/Education Requirements

• Must hold a completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• 1-2 years accounting experience
• Yardi experiencepreferred
