The Bolton Group is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. This role collaborates with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams while maintaining the general ledger and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in accounting, general ledger maintenance, or inventory accounting preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Exposure to inventory accounting, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, is a plus.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, account reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments.

Responsabilités

• Support inventory accounting activities, including tracking raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to provide accounting support and assist with departmental coverage as needed.
• Help maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, gathering financial records, and responding to auditor requests.
• Help ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support internal control procedures, including SOX requirements, where applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial information.
