Job summary

Physicians Dialysis is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join the corporate accounting team in Miami, FL. The role focuses on higher-level accounting functions with ownership of month-end close and regulatory filings.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central, facilitating process improvements and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in healthcare or substance abuse treatment.
• Strong working knowledge of multi state and local tax compliance, and business registrations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform complex general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/quarter-end close activities.
• Prepare, review, and file personal property tax returns, CAT Q and workers' compensation filings, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and maintain corporate registrations, business licenses, and related documentation for all company entities.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for transaction processing, and process enhancements.
• Partner with auditors during annual audits and support ad hoc projects related to compliance, budgeting, or process improvement.
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and internal control enhancements.
