Job summary

Evenflo Company, Inc. in Ohio seeks a Staff Accountant – General Accounting and Fixed Assets to maintain fixed asset records, manage depreciation, and support the month-end close. The role requires 2–4 years of accounting experience and solid Excel skills.

You will collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and assist with audits, while helping to improve accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably fixed asset accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system; MS Dynamics 365 a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets, formulas, lookups, and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and reconciliations as part of the monthly close.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate aged items.
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, intercompany transactions, and other general ledger activities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Assist with financial statements and management reports.
• Support internal and external audit requests with schedules and explanations.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Maintain fixed asset records and lifecycle from additions to retirement.
