Performance Hospitality Management (PHM) seeks a Staff Accountant to support month-end close and everyday accounting operations in Fort Lauderdale. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, assist with AP/AR, and generate timely US GAAP-compliant reports.

The role demands strong attention to detail, ownership, and reliability, with cross-functional responsibilities across the general ledger and monthly close.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (Hotel Accounting) preferred.
  • Strong US GAAP fundamentals and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
  • Experience with ERPs (Dataplus, Sage Intacct, M3, SAP or Oracle).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Assist with monthly close and flux/variance analyses.
  • Support accounts payable/accounts receivable processes and vendor setup.
  • Produce timely reports compliant with US GAAP.

Job description

The Staff Accountant supports the month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations. You’ll prepare journal entries and reconciliations, maintain accurate ledgers, assist with AP/AR, and produce timely reports that are compliant with US GAAP.
