Job summary

Forte Business Services in Memphis, TN seeks a Staff Accountant to deliver comprehensive accounting support for clients, manage GAAP-compliant records, prepare tax filings, and collaborate with local and remote stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 4+ years experience, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, BILL, Harvest, and other tools. Hybrid work and salary $60k–$70k with PTO and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or actively pursuing certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GAAP-compliant financial records for Forte and clients.
• Prepare tax filings including sales, business, franchise, excise, and property taxes.
• Provide guidance and quality control to Bookkeepers.
• Review financial reports for errors and improvements.
• Collaborate with remote clients and stakeholders.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Contribute to development of accounting procedures and systems.
• Manage A/P & A/R using BILL, Harvest, and related tools.
