Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Milwaukee, WI to support daily accounting operations. The role includes AP/AR, fixed assets, and month-end close, with a hybrid work model offering remote work two days per week after six months of training.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience, including ERP systems such as SAP and strong Excel skills. A strong compensation and benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with AP/AR and GL.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and code accurately.
• Prepare vendor payments via checks, ACH, and manual payments.
• Reconcile AP and GL accounts and assist with month-end close.
• Post journal entries, accruals, and other financial transactions.
• Manage travel expenses and maintain fixed asset records.
• Prepare tax filings and cash flow analyses.
