Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Housing Accounting team. The role focuses on producing accurate financial statements from operating entries, posting journal entries, and preparing schedules for year-end audits.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 0–1 year of accounting experience preferred. A collaborative, detail-oriented professional who communicates clearly will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with completion of Preliminary financials.
• Complete final financials.
• Assist with completion of Audited Financial Statements for assigned properties.
• Complete and distribute ABC reports to HUD by deadline.
• Calculate PILOT tax amounts.
• Create and maintain documentation for major processes.
• Generate and distribute financial statements and GL posting reports.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Database and reconcile reserve accounts.
• Enter and review journal entries for accuracy.
• Perform bank reconciliations and update audit schedules monthly.
